Student Tips for Success |
- Use your class time wisely!!!! If you come in and get busy right away instead of visiting or wasting time you will usually not get behind.
- Try not to be absent. If you are, plan to do the day's assignment as soon as possible. Most of the students who do not do well in this class have habitual absences and make no effort to do make-up work.
- Be Prepared. Have your supplies out and ready. When I am giving instructions or demonstrating you don't want to be distracted by having to get your supplies.
- Use your listening skills. Listen to the teacher, listen to the class discussions, listen, listen, listen.....
- Speak up! If you have listened well, read the instructions and still have a question chances are it is a very good question!! Don't be afraid to ask for help or clearer instructions. I won't bite!!!!
- Respect others and treat everyone with the same kindness you would expect
